I ran to the post office in the morning to send three bags of things, a combination of presents and things I don’t need, back home.
I pack my belongings and leave my 10-day home behind. Meital was an amazing host. If anybody is visiting London, you should stay here if you don’t want to stay in a hotel. I jump on the subway in Old Street Station for the last time and make my way to the Paddington Station so I can grab the train out to Cardiff.
Getting to Paddington, I had some time to kill so I got a burrito for lunch and watched pigeons weaving around my feet to get to food that was under my boots. I board my train and head out. The ride was smooth and would have been enjoyable but for some reason I kept passing right out for ten minutes, up for a few seconds, then right out again. Did that for about a hour and a half. By the end of the trip I had a massive headache. It quickly went away as soon as I got some fresh air and was walking around. Looking for my hotel on my phone, I find it’s only a few minutes of a walk away. I decided to stay in a hotel this time around because I found a room rate that was $50 cheaper than any AirBnb location nearby.
Checking in at the hotel at 5, I toss my bag in my sweet room, I go out again touring the shopping centre that was across the road. I’d say it’s about the size of three city blocks, there must be over 200 stores here, outside and in. Spending a hour just roaming the area, I grab a Big Mac for dinner, back to the hotel to update my website, then out once more for a water run. I called it a night at 11, trying to plan out my day for tomorrow.
