Last night I turned on the space heater in my room. When I woke up, I was all toasty and comfy like a cinnamon bun. Not wanting to get out of bed, I looked at my phone. Almost 11. Huh. How about that.
Getting up, having my breakfast, I get out of the house for 1 o’clock and made my way back downtown to go see the Science and Innovation Museum. Just like the National Museum in Cardiff, admission was free. It spanned over 5 buildings. Cotton and clothing history, engines, power generators, there even was an air and space travel section! That was cool. For some reason there were old cars and motorcycles in there. Oh well, they still looked cool.
Taking it all in, I left there by 5. I killed more time by travelling around Manchester. I picked up my train ticket for Scotland. A four and a half hour trip for 40 quid. Not too shabby. It was either that or a hour flight for 90. I didn’t really want to deal with airport security this time.
On the way back to the apartment, I picked up some chicken shawarma for dinner. I didn’t really want to wait for something to get cooked in the oven. Sitting down in front of my laptop, I booked my plane ticket for France, then picked out locations on where I will be staying during my time there.
To finish off this post, I gave this a lot of thought, I’m going to be cutting my trip short. I’m planning on coming home around January 23rd. After Manchester, I’m going to Edinburgh, then Paris, back to London, then back over to Iceland for a few days then grabbing a plane back to Canada.
